1. Provide nurses with an understanding of the innate and adaptive immune response system.
2. Educate nurses about the incidence, prevalence, treatment options /infusion therapies, and comorbidities associated with a P.I. diagnosis.
3. Educating nurses on formulating a plan of care for the patient diagnosed with P.I.

Topic #2: Impacting CVAD Care & Maintenance

Objectives:

Participant will be able to:

1. Enhance a proactive approach to CVAD care and maintenance.
2. Review the complications involved with CVAD patency assessment.
3. Explore an evidence-based CVAD care and maintenance plan that includes formalized patency, documentation, and competency.
